Oops, hit POST too quickly. Nice thing about standing in line for so long was everyone started talking to the people around them. I met a neighbor I didn't know and several distant cousins. When i finally got up to the recieving line, my cousins Alan and Linda were there and their other brother Larry whom I'd only met once back in 93 at my Grandma's funeral. On that day I was more concerned with the funeral and handling all the ensuing controversy than remembering the names of various family members. All in all, it was a nice experience despite the circumstances. Ever notice that people don't take photos at funerals? People always say funerals are for the living, but no one takes pictures. Hmmmmmm. Wander

I filmed my brothers. But I did that because my two sisters couldn't make it at the time. So I did it for them.

Many years ago I was asked by a friend of their family to take photos of the person in the coffin. I did but felt uncomfortable doing so. I've never seen anyone take photos during visitation just before the burial.
