Yeah! Dad and I were watering and they had just really started to open yesterday and I called him over to point it out. We both dropped everything and got our cameras.

That's gorgeous. They look very much like some heirloom lilies my mother-in-law gave to my mom, which she calls "Surprise Lilies".

I think people may call them different names. This is what my grandma called them because they leaf out in May and then die to nothing then in late July they come back from the dead.

Ah, working with the light.
I don't do sunlight this week. I'm learning shutter speed.

Is that natural light or do you have a fancy light set up?

Nope, the Great Spirit was smiling on us yesterday and providing natural light. I called my Dad over when I saw it and we both got the cameras out.
