Rocky

In the wedding scene of Rocky Horror there were two wedding photographers. Coincidentally there will be two photographers covering the Betty and the Headlights concert/Rocky Horror Picture Show viewing on Saturday night, me and this guy Steve who is he official photographer for the band Black Bloom who is opening for Papa Roach tomorrow night. So We are going to try and coordinate costumes and go as the wedding photogs.

I actually have both of those cameras. I'll be the younger guy.

Here's the theatrical trailer for the original movie. I didn't start going to Rocky Horror on weekends until about 1981 so I never actually saw the trailer, just the movie.

Yeah, we might. I really want to shoot the wedding scene with a big flash. So I may also have my digital with me to do that. We'll see how it goes.

I saw it a dozen times in '76, but I don't think I'd ever seen the trailer.

You have to wonder what people in the audience were thinking when they saw that.

I used to be in the cast once upon a time at the local theater.
Good times!

Yep, we used to go every Saturday night in the early 80's.

Awesome! This costume idea seems like more fun than going as a goblin. Although it seems a LITTLE too close to your actual personality...

I'm still doing the Goblin thing for our office thing on Friday. There is this cool slimy rock wall on 5th street I'm going to get a picture done in front of. It looks a lot like the wall that the talking worms come out of in Labyrinth.

Oh that sounds GREAT! Can't wait to see that. I tried on my red devil outfit yesterday and it reminds me of something Georgina Kincaid might wear when she's on a mission.

She will never live that one down I think.

Oh now, that is really clever. I've seen lots of Rocky cosplay, but I don't think I've ever seen anybody cosplay the photogs.

well the costumes are pretty darned easy. When I was working on my Goblin Ball costume last night I thought seriously about just making it a Transylvanian costume.

I saw Rocky Horror for the first time in 1978(ish?) in Blacksburg, Virginia. We went to the midnight show in downtown Blacksburg. It was a college crowd.

What was I thinking? Why, I was higher than a Georgia pine and had had a few beers. I got hit in the back of the head with an egg. Fortunately, I was wearing my raincoat...grin.

Very good times.

I saw Footloose in Blacksburg so many times (seemed like that's all there was to do that week) that I could speak the lines better than the actors. Saw Clockwork Orange on Halloween Night in the Student center. Did you know they showed an X-Rated movie at the cinema in town in 1983. I thought that was pretty strange.
