Nothing much

Went to the farm last night and just relaxed which was nice. uploaded some more farm pix to unjustly tempt people to come visit me...hehehehe...Brought Jake the Dog back to Peoria with me this morning. Now that it's warmed back up, he'll be with us whenever I'm in the city. I built a real roof on his kennel last week so he should be fine when it rains now...other than being afraid of thunder.

So here's the pix. The rest are in the comments section. I shot this one last weekend with my crappy new digital cam. What do you want for $20 on eBay? I thought it looked like the house in Millenium just a little. It's actually white but the sun was setting so it got a yellow cast. This is where you guys will be staying purrgatori.

Ok, this one isn't farm related. Just a shot of the table at this little diner we stopped at while on our country drive Saturday:

Another view of the house looking back toward the barnyard. I told you the camera was crappy.

The sunset that was causing the house to turn yellow.

Grape hyacinths in bloom out back

Resurection lillies that bloom out in July

Old bottles and flowers on the window seat in the front room. Lots of old wood in this house.

Tiger lillies in one of the front flower beds.

My 1948 Ford Tractor that still runs like a dream. Out in the cornfield just after harvest last fall.

A gathering storm at my aunt's house last weekend.

What a grand old house you have! There is so much character in it and it looked like it has many cozy places for comfort.

I absolutely loved the other pictures you took, especially the photographs of the flowers. My favourite stylistically was the one of the bottles and flowers. This picture in particular was amazing. I could well see it amongst the pages of a country home magazine or illustrating a rural poetry book.

You did good.

Re:
Well thank you. I took the one of the bottle and flowers probably the first year I lived in that house, when there was still much of the spirit of my grandmother there. She's still there but her influence doesn't show as much in the decoration anymore. Sometims that's both good and bad. A lot of the old stuff was falling into ruin so it had to be replaced. The remodling project is ongoing. We built a gazebo out back among the red buds last year. A nice place to sit and meditate.

Keep the old bottles. They are worth varying degrees of money from collectors. Aside of that, they give the house personality and hearken to older times.

The gazebo sounds incredibly restive. How nice it must be to sit surrounded by the red buds, listening to the turning of the world.

Re:
Come up and experience it on your own sometime. As I've said before, I welcome visitors. I do plan to keep the bottles. Grandma used to have a collection of them up on a high cabinet in the front room and when you would walk through the house, they would clink together making pleasant music. Alas, the cabinet went to a niece or nephew but I was left with the bottles.

I thought of something but I'm going to post it to Stonebear and Freeminds as well.

Do you men feel, on the whole, that you've gotten the "short end of the stick" concerning Wiccan beliefs?
For instance, in Wiccan symbolism the Moon is popularly used to represent the Goddess, while the Sun is used to represent the God.
