Retrograde Dreams

Hey, I'm back by the way. Yesterday I woke up in a restored 1800's hotel. My room had a Jacuzzi and a deck overlooking the rolling waters of the Mississippi. In the morning I took a Drive down the Great River Road and saw 8 Bald Eagles and 6 Red Tailed Hawks. Good Omens.

For lunch I went to the Fin Inn and watched as 300 lb snapping turtles swam past my table. I ate turtle soup and flame broiled catfish filets with mashed potatoes and gravy and candied yams. Yummmmmmmmm.

I ventuerd into an antique shop and found they had scads of Wedgewood china in Deb's pattern, Countryside. So I bought her four each of, cups and saucers, berry bowls, bread plates and supper plates. Then I dropped into the Piasa Winery for some wine tasting and even bought a couple bottles of a sweet and fruity white.

It didn't snow on me until I got up by Bluffs and then it had already stopped snowing. But there was 8 inches. Enough that I had to get the tractor out with the blade and clear the driveway. I got back to the city about 8 last night and Deb and I settled in for a nice evening of talking about idiotic people we knew and watching CSI.

Question - Was last night a particulalry powerful night in the Retrograde with the full moon and all? I had the most bizarre and realistic dreams that Deb had left me for another man and that she came home and told me to pack my stuff and leave. This was one of those dreams where even after you wake up, you wonder if it was real. And it brought out the full load of my various insecurities, abandonment issues and the works. Probably because it was pretty much a model of what Shelly did to me when I was married to her. Deb said I kept her awake tossing and turning all night. No wonder. I wonder what tonight will bring.

Peace (hopefully)

We got maybe a half inch here and it's gone now. No trouble going up the driveway once I remembered to turn my emergency brake off (d'oh!). For some reason, half an inch was enough to close down most of the schools around here.

There were no closings with 8 inches. We need about 10 inches to do that.

That's a respectable snowfall! I was insulted when Central called me up this morning and said school was closed. The. Roads. Were. Clear. I never thought I'd say this, but lousy snow-fearing Southerners.

It's interesting that you asked that question about last night because I was wondering the same thing myself. I had the most disturbing dreams last night. I usually have a lot of dreams, but they don't give me that icky and insecure feeling. I didn't even fully understand them and they bothered me horribly. I thought maybe it had something to do with the new stone I started carrying yesterday. I started carrying gold tygereye and I've been picking up a lot from other people empathically ever since. Anyway, I really hope tonight is better for you and I both.

Me too. I've been carry those feelings around with me all day. Good luck.

Hmm, that must be rather disturbing for the turtles, to swim by and see their brothers and sisters being eaten by some human...
We have barely any snow. A bit of a dusting tonight, maybe an inch or less a couple of days ago. It is definitely not normal, and rather creepy to be like this in January. :P

Yeah, makes you wonder what Feb will bring. We've been getting less and less snow down this way for the past 20 years or so. I think it just goes in cycles. The east coast has been getting our winter lately I think.
