That time of year again...apparently

Well I'm going through my menopausal hot flashes and fever again, even though I'm only 38 and a male. I honestly have to think this is a Shaman thing as it has happened every year about this time since I got my calling. Maybe it has something to do with Mars? I don't know. Friday night I just felt very tired and kinda dizzy. Saturday I was going through alternating fever and chills. Sunday I was just hot all day but didn't feel particulalry bad. Today are the hot flashes in my feet. Wearing less silver seems to help alleviate the symptoms a bit. I've had other Shamen tell me I had too much feminine energy and should wear more gold to bring about a balance. Sometimes it works though I don't own much gold jewelry. Knowing it might be spiritual related, I don't mind it happening so much. I just wish I knew for sure what it means. I feel like I'm supposed to be getting some messge but I just don't understand the code. Kinda like when you go to the aquarium and the dolphins look at you and make noises and you know they are talking to you but you just don't have the right equipment to understand them.

In other news, it was a productive weekend. Deb and I managed to can 11 pints of Tropical Terror and this stuff has one hell of a kick because we are getting freshe peppers now and I was able to put in 53 habaneros where the most I've used before was 30. We also got 12 pints of cinammon pears. Probably the last load of pears as getting them from the top of the tree is difficult and a little dangerous and bees are starting to take over the ground beneath the tree and I just don't fancy a trip to the emergency room. We got another 8 pints of plum jelly and 11 pints of concorde grape jelly. We pickled 12 pints of banana peppers and did 6 pints of dill pickles as well. We also got a whole pint of fresh garlic chopped and preserved in olive oil. That will taste great for sautees and such.

Deb has had several good days in a rom. So Saturday night we went and hung out with Rob and Gwen and the kids for awhile. Had pizza and good conversation and it was just fun to hang out with some other people for a change. Deb is now on an event monitor which records what is going on with her BP and heart whenever she has an episode of chest pain or synchope. We are hoping that will give her doc a direction to go as far as finding a medication that will treat the symptoms of the orthostatic hypotension which he is 99% sure she has rather than the mitral valve prolapse. At this point he is just trying to treat the symptoms so she can do something otehr than lay around on the couch all day. She's on disability from work and she's exceedingly bored. I'm hoping she can drop down to partial disability and perhaps start working from home but who knows. Her manager can't even manage people who are in the office effecively much less someone working from home.

Well everyone I've promised home canned goodness to will be getting it this week. Things have started to chill out for me a bit.

I can't remember if I've asked you before, but the Gnome wants to try your salsa. He's crazy like that.

Think cool thoughts. Icebergs are good.

Well give me your current address and I'll send you a jar out. First one is free. After that they are $3.50 a pint. I'm like a drug dealer like that.

Whatcha gonna do, wrap it up in tissue?

Tissue that has been shredded by Nimrodel. If you get something that looks like a squuirming pink gumi bear, that's the baby gerbil. Or, as they are sometimes called, bite-size kitty treats.

Hey Wander!

This is Ryl's Gnome chiming in to say hello! I have a cure for your lady; piss her off and that'll fix0r the ol' heart and raise that blood pressure ;) Actually, I am really sorry to hear the news and I hope for the best. I hope you are doing well; I'll see you next time we use.... fiiirrreee heeeeeeelmeeeetttttts...... heeelmets... helmets! I will probably need a fire helmet if your salsa is as spicy as Ryl fears it to be. TTFN and be well--as quoted from "Demolition Man!"
