Not the cookie cutters!!!

I just recieved this from my dad who also copied it to my brother. I love his sense of humor sometimes.

I feel obligated to tell you that your mother for the past (2) days has been "cleaning" the house and throwing away items that have sentimental if no longer practical value. The latest items are the extensive collection of "cookie cutters". This may well be the precursor to the end of an era.

Regrettably, this is probably not the last of these sad notes.

OMG I would buy them from her *pantpantpant* I collect cookie cutters!

You do? Why did I not know this?

I have some copper and silvery metal ones that I have used with polymer clay, but with a careful cleaning would still be food safe. A Coyote, a Dolphin, a holly leaf and a snowman... plus a couple of cheapo plastic witch faces. Want em?

I would love to have them ;-) In addition to just loving them, I have also used them for polymer clay... as a matter of fact I have the cookie cutter set on my wishlist at Amazon.

Cool, I'll get them in the mail once the hubster gets paid again!

By the by... do you ever crochet hats?

Jan. 11th, 2005 03:38 pm (UTC)
yes, I do, which is funny considering I hate wearing them! But there it is... :-)

Need one? What kind?

I wish I was not differently abled where it comes to crochet; I just never did much of it, mostly granny squares and that was years ago. I suppose I could try to 'relearn' if I had a mentor.

I'm looking for a "bad hair day" hat, something soft I can roll the brim on in happy colors. I will quit eating up wander's real estate here and drop you an email ;-)

Actually I'm benefiting from this hat stuff. Deb needs a new hat. She had one of those floppy fishermans hats that she loved to wear but she lost it when the Pacific ocean took her for a tumble in October when she was out in Cali.

I'd be willing to pay for something like that.

That may be a bucket hat. I like those, too, but I usually flip up one side because I have a Charlie Brown head :-p

She has an egg head but she does the same thing. That way she can wear something and not have to wash her hair everyday if she's having a bad hair day.

That's one of my main reasons for being a hat lover... they are easy. I can't do the "hands over my head" thing every day, either.

I just found one on Ebay and went ahead and bought it for her. Doesn't mean I wouldn't want a knit one as well.

... and our Coyote Woman here is a talented gal with the yarn and sewing machine, from the indications on coyotelill.

I called and told her I wanted them. Now I'll be the recipient of literally hundreds of themed cookie cutters. I'll pass the duplicates on to you OK? I usually end up with all the cooking gear anyway. I think she was in a cleaning mood. Over the holidays I ended up with a nearly new set of towels and a set of Anchor Hocking glasses still in the box because of one of her cleaning moods.

*claps hands in glee*

Boy, I wish my Mom was like that!

Well we've chided her before for keeping years worth of useless crap so sometimes she'll get a wild hair and someone will be having a yard sale so out they go. That's how we lost the Dr. Seuss books. I think this was my Dad's way of telling us if we wanted them, we better speak up. So I did. Now they are mine. Bwahahahahah. I'm the cookie cutter KING I tell you.

I did. I'm doing blueberry truffles this week. You'll have to settle for those.

I don't have any current pics -- will take some when I buy a new cheap digicam on friday. I charge $15-20 for a basic crocheted skullcap/bucket hat depending on head size in acrylic or cotton, more if you want one of the specialty yarns or a stripy pattern.

I also do garb, and will be posting about that in my coyotelill journal once I get some items completed. :)
