'Nother Tree lunch

Sat out under the Locust again for lunch.
Third day in a row now.
Reading 'Rooville still. I'm a slow reader. I love to savor.
It's 96 here today and pretty humid.
Deb asked if people can melt.
Not at 96 methinks.
Warm smells of asphlat mixed with dying grass.
No rain in 10 days now.
Crops are not faring well.
I've had to replant much of my garden already. Looks like I may lose some of it.
At least there is a constant breeze. Warm though. But I felt a cool downdraft now and then.
Maybe a sign of rain to come but I thinks it's just a tease.
Maybe I should wash my car.

At 96, people just droop a little. Actual melting seems to start at about 106F. (---Reporting from Tucson, AZ, where yesterday's high temperature was about 111F)

I saw that on the news and I concur. I felt 120 in Death Valley once and it was oppressive. It's bad when you can cut the air with a knife and there is no humidity.
