As of Saturday, I will be driving my new (well new to me anyway) VW Jetta. No more renting cars to go on long trips for me. Whhhheeeeeeeeee!

Now I'll have to think of a name for the new car. She's Emerald Green by the way.

She might object to being called by the name of a lesser color though. Don't want to give her a complex.

Esmerelda was the name of a red 78 Nova we used to have when I was married the first time. That car really took a licking and kept on ticking. Over 250,000 miles on her when she finally died. We took several trips in her from Northern NM up to Denver and down to Burkburnet Texas and Lubbock. Hmmm, might be time to ressurect the name.

Since she's 'emerald green', I thought the name Emeraude would be nice. You can call her "Emmy" or "Em" for short.

Oooooooh good choice. I'd run a con test except i'm the one who has to live with her. Maybe I should just drive her a bit and see what she wants to be called.

Don't ask me why, but for numerous reasons, right now, if I had a car that was emerald green, I'd call her 'Ruby'.

LOL this reminds me of me and my friend Bill. I think I told you about him once. He bought his car a year before I bought mine. The color of his was called "Champagne" it was a tannish car. I talked him into naming it Brandy. My car (the one you saw last year) is named Amber.

Not the answer to your question, but hey.

I like Miyu's suggestion in that case.

Yeah, Yay big time. I get a little nervous when I just have one and no backup.

well I do have the famr truck but it gets maybe 20 mpg so I don't like to rely on it.

Or
You could call her Beryl. Being you are an expert, you already know that's a transparent to translucent glassy mineral, and that varieties in white, green, blue, yellow, or pink are valued as gems.

Or you can just call her Kermit *giggle*
