Boredom

I'm officially bored. I guess bored is better than being depressed, but not by much. I just got paid and that's an improvement. I was down to my last $200 or so. The last two weeks were kind of expensive. I made a nice dinner for Deb last night. Broiled ribeyes on a bed of garlic sauteed mushrooms and onions with a side of roasted red potatoes and baby carrots. I'd gone to the butcher to get ground beef for spaghetti sauce but saw those inch and a half thick ribeyes and quickly changed my mind. So dinner went from costing a few dollars to $25 but what the heck, you only live once. The butcher knows the way to my heart. Too bad he's not better looking.

A friend I was going to go see in Kansas City this weekend is tied up with school. And one of my best friends who was supposed to come from DC to see me next weekend has decided he doesn't want to chance flying into Chicago in the winter. Can't say as I blame him for that one. In any event, he's not coming. So I've got two free weekends with no plans.

I can always get out and do more photography although I've got tons of pics that I've not even posted yet or printed, or matted for that matter. I have to print 22 - 4 color linoleum prints and have those matted and wrapped by March 2. So I guess I can get started on that. Maybe after I get started, I'll get interested in it. More money for my Seattle trip anyway. Maybe I'll do some local travelling. I had an idea a few weeks agao inspired by something duskfrog was working on. A documentary of life on the rivers since I live between the Illinois River and the Mississippi River. Maybe I'll get that going. Or maybe I'll just blow some more things up. I still have explosives and old computer equipment to dispose of.

It's look very positive that after the Seattle Trip, I'll be flying down to Monterey for a few days for the Adobe Master's Conference. My evenings will be free so if any of my California friends want to get together at the end of March, let me know. I don't know that I'll have a car but we can work things out. I have an aunt and uncle that live about 1/2 hour away so I'm sure they will be coming down to pick me up at some point.

This time of the year always does this too me. Late winter blahs. At least its 50 degrees out today. That's something.

Here is a sight we've been seeing a lot of down my way. Migrating flocks of snow geese. I've been seeing them by the thousands in the marshes and fields down by the river.

Peace,

Wander

Sorry you are so bored. I've had the blahs too. Beautiful pics of the geese though.

I don't like the winter months much.

Nor I. I should live on a coast or in the desert southwest.
