My brother is EVIL!

Two visits in a row he has got me hooked on specialty beers that I can't get back here in Illinois, at least not in my city. In December it was Hoegaarden Belgian White and in Seattle last week it was Widmer Hefe Weizen. I can order them but with shipping it would cost me over $50 for two six packs and I don't love it that much. Plus I love shiner Bock and it's not available in Illinois at all. All three are available in Missouri but of course it's hit or miss trying to find a beer store that carries them. Damn interstate alcohol laws anyway.

Oh and O'Hare airport is EVIL as well. Monday morning at 6 am while bidding my time during my 3 hour layover, every alarm in the airport went off at once. You couldn't get away from it unless you left the secured area and we all know how evil that is. I swear the high pitched noise could sterilize rats at 500 yards. It went on for 25 minutes. People were getting visibly agitated enough to start taking baseball bats to the alarm system. And finally it just shut off and no one offered any explanation. Fuckers. Probably some government experiment right? I'll probably start craving McDonalds Filt-o-Fish sandwiches or something now or feel the need to buy a new SUV to support the Petro Chemical industry who is losing profits from so many people using hybrid and E 85 vehicles.

Oh and I've gotten 4 phone calls asking me if I was anywhere near where the Seattle shootings took place. Here is a partial map of the Capital Hill section of Seattle. The green marker is where I was, the red marker is where the shootings took place. I heard the cop cars and later the ambulances going that way as my brother lives right next to a bunch of hospitals. But if I heard the shots I didn't recognize them for what they were. You just kind of get accustomed to city noises when you are in the city.
