310 Again

My brother's band, 310 just did some work to their website. Added tons of audio and new interviews and surprisingly some very nice video, not only of live performances but a couple they had professionally shot and directed for thier songs. I got to preview a couple of these when I was visitng Joe in Seattle and it's interesting to see the finished product. I've got all their CD's to date. Well at least the ones released domestically. There are some EP's released in Europe I don't have, but I have all the songs anyway. Back in March or so, they started having their music available on iTunes. I think I reported that already in an earlier entry. That's really good because they put up the songs from the CD "Downtown and Brooklyn Only" which is a compilation of two earlier CD's they released themselves before they got signed to the Leaf Label. Those being Aug '56 and SNORKELHouSE both of which I have and which are very hard to get now.

On their MySpace account, they have a couple songs from a new CD project they will be releasing this year I think. That will be their 7th US CD release. So if you are into Trip Hop and Ambient music, head on over to their website and check them out. I'm pretty proud of the talented little shit if you couldn't tell.

I listened to portions of several of their songs. They are pretty good. They've turned out a lot of music.

I can send you a CD with a compilation of their various albums if you like. Not something that gets much mainstream radio play but there are places in the world where they are much appreciated if the comments left on their MySpace page are any indication. If I were my brother, I'd be pretty well satisfied that close to 100 of my songs had been published.

Yes, I'd love to have a compiled CD. Let me check to see if you have an email address posted.

100 songs is a lot of music to record. Your brother should be very happy.

I think he wouldn't mind if the music sold enough to support him and he didn't have to work freelance jobs to support himself. But that's the conundrum of any musician I suppose.

Let me know if you received my email with personal info. With the severe weather St. Louis has been hit with tonight, I'm surprised that my Charter Communications serve which is over there is still up and running. My internet, digital cable, and phone service is all with them.

I'm not sure if that email went through as I got a message to try to send again in a few seconds. I did not get a confirmation that gmail sent the message.
