Private I

Earlier this year I spent a good little chunk of change on a Private Eye site looking up info for my Dad's 50th class reuinion. They actually found 58 of the 60 people he graduated with. One guy moved to Sparks, Nevada and became some kind of hermit/recluse. I tried to contact him for awhile but eventually I figured it was going to take nothing short of direct intervention to get through to him and I wasn't going to Sparks, NV on a lark. The other woman we think changed her name and is still living in the area. we have a lead on her for thei next reunion anyway. while I was on the search site, I started looking up names of everyone I'd ever lost contact with. One of those was a guy named Dan Black Coal I used to live with in this horrible apartment building on the North side of Denver. It was crawling with crack whores and gang bangers and surrounded by a prairie dog town that kept getting quarantined for suspicions of the Plague. Anyway, I thought I had located him in Portland but a letter to him brought no results.

Now out of the blue tonight he sends me an email. And we are old friends again, just like 12 years didn't just roll on by. Is this a sign of things to come? If so, could Diana Hoppe, the girl I was madly infatuated with befoe she took of to England to be a nanny 22 years ago please contact me next?

All the liberals in Fanta Se land think the prairie dogs are just so cuuuuute, so their populations are getting out of hand. (They've even passed a city ordinance protecting some of the larger, more destructive colonies.) Fortunately we've seen no prarie dog related plague cases yet, but it's only a matter of time: There are a lot of plague reservoirs in this area. Of course, since it's only those same liberals who get close enough to coo over them, I suppose this may be a self-correcting problem. *vicious grin*

You know, I'm kind of jealous of that guy from Sparks. Not that I'd want to be located, mind you...

I've done the recluse thing a time or two. It's nice to be able to do it as a matter of choice. I think this guy just came from a very dysfunctional family and this is one of the symptoms of that dysfunction. No one in the family knows where anyone else is.
