Vegetarian kick

Well sort of. I love summer produce. Last night I made a casserole with zucchini, tomatoes and peaches and cream sweetcorn, a dab of butter and shredded cheese. Except for the cheese, all was from my garden. On Sunday, I picked a couple quarts of blackberries. Today I'm eating those blackberries covered with yogurt I made myself. Everything tastes so wonderful in the summer.

Much as your produce sounds awesome, I'm enjoying frequent BLT's.
Nothing beats home grown!

I envy you and will be over shortly to steal your blackberries.

You are welcome here anytime of course, blackberries or no.

I don't envy you your garden, but I am rather jealous of your growing season. 8000 feet elevation means I'm just now started to harvest squash blossoms. (Though with the monsoons here now, things are beginning to grow quite quickly!)

The peaches are an interesting addition to that casserole. I've done similar things with apples and squash, but peaches... Hmm. Will have to give that some thought!

Oh, you reminded me of squash blossoms. I deep fried a half dozen of them for dinner last week. I'm getting ready to head out your way again on the 8th. Be there about a week if this year is any better for a visit than last.

I think where you read peaches is my peaches and cream bi color sweet corn. But some fruit in the casserole might not be so bad. Some berries maybe.

mm yummy. And blackberries...I miss the scads of wild blackberries we used to pick up at the lake...

And off topic, but my curiosity has been piqued recently: what stones do you recommend for a Libra (October 10)? I've seen sapphire as sun stone, but also unakite? I have an unakite bracelet ("power bracelet"); I stumbled across it at the state fair and thought it was pretty. I also have a lapis lazuli pendant.

Oh and opal and tourmaline I've seen as birthstones. I have a couple of opal rings and my class ring from college has a green tourmaline in it.

Any of the blue green stones are good for Libra. Turquoise, chrysocolla and even the translucent ones.

Had that this morning. Nice fresh bacon right off the pig. Take your computer to the beach?
