How Strange is fate?

So now I know why my car needed to be fixed when it did and delay my vacation a few days. Saturday, I will spend the day sitting amongst Shawnee elders in a teepee (if the weather is nice) in Lenoir, NC. Among other things, they will be deciding whether to grant me full membership in the Nation or not.

A year ago this week, I was told I should go to the National Museum of the American Indian in DC. There I would be given a message. So yesterday I went. And the message was that "they" are always watching. Ready to teach and that blood counts far less than spirit. Things I already knew but in the context of what will be happening soon, an important message. I spent a lot of time over the past several years trying to prove I had the blood. But in the end, it's just a basic requirement. It's the other parts of my being that count in the end. And here I am, being given the chance to show what kind of person I am.

I had no idea coming on this trip to Virginia and NC that it was time for Fall Council. Had my trip started earlier, I would have been leaving to go home on Friday and missed it.

Also, I have with me, a hawk wing. A gift for Chief Whitehawk. Had I taken any other mode of transportation than driving, I would not have been able to bring it as it is ever so slightly illegal for me to posses it. Everything is just falling into place. And I'll be seeing Bonny, the psychic who channeled the spirit who told me to go to the museum, on Sunday. Seems very fortuitous all this.

May the Best Manifest, Wander.

Amazing where our paths lead us, innit?

I love just letting go and being led sometimes. Seems that's what I'm doing this week. It was another part of the message yesterday. I told them I was ready and they took my hand.

Hung out there from age 10 to 18. Scary place. Not so bad for visits, though.

Baraka Bashad. :) Sounds as if you're on the right path, whatever that might be.

I've abandoned myself to it and going where it leads me right now. Thanks!

"...blood counts far less than spirit." I have said this for many years.

Good luck at the Council.

Why thank you my dear. Looks like we are going to miss each other again this trip. We should try to remedy that next time.

i'd like that. maybe it was the same spirit guide that i felt letting me know this wasn't the time to shout ME! ME! when you posted your itinerary this time. maybe something else.

*soft smile & a shrug*

our time will come. :)

safe journey, friend.
