These were from the weekend before last. Sunday October 4th with the full moon rising and my Dad and I outside enjoying the last fairly warm day at the farm. Mom and Dad left to return to NC the next morning.

On the Friday of that weekend, I'd taken a car load of stuff over to Dubuque and then stayed late to catch the band Alma Sub Rosa at the Busted Lift bar. The lighting was pretty dim and I had to really push the ISO but got a few dozen decent photos and did this poster. I was fooling about with a little Art Nouveau styling. I like it.

Peace,

Wander

Your moon looks nothing like my moon. What did you do differently?
I learned the value of the clicker (which is why my nighttime moon is not as crystal clear as I'd like).
But your moon is way different. Filter? Just your sky? Time of night? What?

I was actually hand holding my camera. It was about a 2 second exposure. But here we have lots of dust in the atmosphere from the farming so we get really intense sunsets and orange moonrises all the time. I had to do about 30 shots to get that one moonrise to come out not looking like a hotdog. I'd have used a tripod and remote if I'd have had them available.

Pretty sure I had my ISO set to about 1000.
