This is so cool

So essentially when I'm shooting for the entertainment magazine at the casino, I'm shooting for the Casino as well. Gotta follow all their security rules. But when I am shooting, I essentially have the run of the place to shoot from wherever I want. So for America, I covered a radio interview in the morning, a VIP Meet n Greet in the early evening and then the concert. I shot for the first set from right in front of the stage as well as back stage. I had gotten there early and shot the equipment set-up and talked to cool folks like the guitar tech. Now that's a job to have. You just tune all the band's guitars. Later, during the show, I went up to the control booth and shot with my longer lenses. Next time I'll take a tripod. But honestly, other than me shaking all over the place trying to hold the 100-300 mm steady extended to 300 mm, there was more than enough light to shoot. The Casino has a media site where people can go and download the candids and concert shots so my stuff is up there right now and hopefully a lot more in the future.

Check out the slide show!

And by the way, this is the Nikon D90 shooting at ISO's between 1600 and 3200.

Peace,

Wander

They are a good act to see and photograph. Not the most exciting bunch but a good casino act. Nice to see a couple original members still getting along.
