New Work

The Mississippi river was way up last week in Dubuque. Far above flood stage. On the lower part of the River Walk, there is is a gazebo that was underwater and it had been photographed by just about every yahoo with a digital camera...the local newspaper photographers included. I wanted something a little different to show the water levels. So I went upriver a bit to the railroad bridge that runs from Dubuque over to East Dubuque in IL. At about 1 am last Thursday, I snapped a 30 second exposure of a train going over the railroad bridge with the rising waters of the Mississippi just a few feet below:
