10 o' clock and all's well...

I added jehosephat violinchick johnthetigerand progress to my friends list lately. Welcome! I hope you like it here. People add me to theirs all the time and it's always a mystery to me as to why but it's cool that they do.

Word of warning since this has become an issue on other people's journal's lately. I treat my journal as a journal. It's what I'm thinking at the time and what is important to me. I don't try to write so as not to offend people on my friends list or the world in general. If you feel like criticizing me for my beleifs or something I've done, fire away but I may or may not respond. If I don't respond, don't take it too hard. Sometimes I just don't have the time. Sometimes though, it's because I think your comment is too idiotic to warrant a response. If you comment is posted purely for the purpose of negative criticism, expect to see your comment posted in my journal so everyone can laugh at you. I've never banned someone from my journal. I've dropped a couple people from my friends list but it's usually been because I thought they were someone I'd be interested reading about but then it turns out I wasn't. No offense, just not everyon'e lives are interesting to me.

That said, no one has gotten all the answers correct yet on my 80's trivia quiz from yesterday. If you want to see it and participate, go here and add your answers to the comments:

That said, I was working on my website last night amidst baking two loaves of bread. Apple Raisin and Apple Pineapple and a batch of apricot oatmeal cookies for my meeting tonight. I cam across a piece of jewelry I'd made about 6 years ago. I had given it to a favorite aunt of mine. Two years ago, she passed on. Then last year, her husband passed on as well. They auctioned off a bunch of their possesions that their kids didn't want. I saw the necklace in her jewelry box and wanted it back but my idiot cousins wouldn't just give it back to me. So I bid on it and won. And they wonder why I don't come to visit them.

Anyway, I thought I'd post a pic of it as an example of some of my finer work. No this is not the prize for the trivia quiz. Here it is This necklace is all Sterling Silver and AA grade Amethyst. There are 48-6mm amethyst beads and an 8 carat faceted Amethyst teardrop. All total there are about 44.75 carats of amethyst in this necklace. I sold a similar one for about $80 once and the person thought they were getting off cheap. I doubt I'd charge that much for one now though.

Well, time to get some work done. Got an expense report that needs to be filled out.

Yay! It's official now, huh? I think it's probably more offensive to censor your thoughts and keep them to yourself in front of certain people than to speak your mind.... so it's almost impossible to offend me. Sometimes I run across posts I don't like, but I have the choice to skip them which is what I usually do.

I treat my journal as a journal for myself too... which makes it fairly uninteresting because I'm not too good of an entertainer.

Thanks for the welcome. I've got an interest in Shamanism and your post on your ritual grabbed my interest the other day. I tend to learn more from people than books. I also liked your entry about joining the military. Of course, being born in '65 like me, makes you especially cool;-)

Yeah, I noticed the similarity in birthdates too. I'll post more about rituals soon. Next week I'm travelling to NC to be adopted by the Second Chief of the Eastern Shawnee Nation. My fiancee and I will also have our naming ceremonies that day so there will be lots to write about I'm sure.
