I've gone into withdrawls from several things. Sweet tea in NC and that lovely southern accent. Withdrawls from being around people whose whole lives are geared toward searching for spirtual truth and now I'm forced to be around people whose whole lives are spent in search of the almighty $. Withdrawls from the Mechanical Drawing book. I turned over the photo credits yesterday and I proof read the final today and now 9 months of work is over with. I wonder if new mothers ever feel they are missing a part of themselves when the baby is born. All I have is clean up and permissioning the stock photography I used and I'm done with it all. It's making me feel kind of lazy though I know that big monster of a carpentry book is still looming. Now I can devote my full attention to that I guess. Not that I really want to. These books can get a little stale at times. I heard the bosses down the hall discussing the Architecture book. I wonder if I'll get that next or if they will let me finish Carpentry before I start another one.

I have to get ready for Christmas jewelry sales to see if I'll have enough money to go to NC for the last 10 days of December. I hope I do.

Oh, I added several people to my friend's list because they added me. I don't know what all their interests are. Welcome to papa_elf bbw4u blackpaw greengoose and mouthypoo. If any of you should find the need to drop me, I won't mind. Likewise I may drop you if I find we just don't have anything in common or whatever. Don't take it the wrong way if I do.

Damn, my friends list is getting big. You'd think I was popular or something.

I went home last night and lo and behold, there was Deb's mom. She wanted to hear all about the ceremonies and then she stayed for dinner. Deb and I made spagetti with real homemade meat sauce and garlic bread. I can stand her mom is short bursts but she drives me nuts otherwise. Deb's been on vacation since last Thursday and the whole house is clean except for the studio. Kind of makes me scared to sit down anywhere lest I leave a mess. I promised her I'd clean the studio tonight since it's the one room of the house I truly control.

It's turned back to November weather now. Almost like it was staying warm until we got those ceremonies out of the way. It was quite chilly over night. I think it actually froze. Today is only supposed to get to like 45 and not much warmer the rest of the week but still sunny. As long as it stays sunny, I'll be OK. Otherwise, I'll have to hibernate. And just in time for cold weather, all the blankets I got on Ebay last week just got here. I'll have enough blanket material for Ruth to make me two very warm capotes for winter and for the rendezvous next year.

Time to get back into the real work I guess.

You know that accent just drives me nuts. In a good way. Just the Carolina and Virginia accents though. Tennessee and Kentucky accents do nothing for me.

If I heard Long Island, I wouldn't give you a second look. Now East Carolina and Fake British.....

If I didn't speak Long Island, I wouldn't be able to understand my grandparents. Heck, there are times I wouldn't be able to understand my mom if I didn't speak its bastard cousin New Jersey.
