Flowers

Hmmm...What kind of flowers to get Deb for Valentines Day? Sterling roses perhaps. Birds of Paradise maybe. We've both agreed that the best thing to do this weekend is hole up at the farm, drink some wine and just have fun being together. Especially since it's a three day weekend.

Re: Et tu Wander?
Ah, but I don't do roses or diamonds. I fight the Gods by giving daisies. Plus I doubt I'll get laid. She just discovered she has an ulcer and I'm having back problems. Best we could do right now is look at each other and fantasize.

Re:
Seriously, I do almost all the cooking. She doesn't bake at all. But she does cook gourmet. In April when the morel mushrooms come out, she cooks the most wonderful mushroom fritadas you've ever tasted. I think she keeps me around because I warm up the bed, I make her coffe in the morning and I iron her clothes for her.

Ignore those cynics above! :)

Geez, if I'd KNOWN you wanted BoP's, I have about 30 flowers (they're just starting all over again,) JUST starting to bloom all around the house. We have some old large plants here. I coulda popped on some water vials, they ship BEAUTIFULLY, and coulda put it on your FedEx account! ;) If you decide you want some to surprise her with, lemme know and I can tell you what's in bloom and how many and so on.

I'm not a huge rose fan on Valentine's day. I like something more unique personally. Depends on her taste, if she's feeling 'traditional' or 'spicy' and such. You would know.

The ONLY thing is, if she works at an office or workplace with lots of other women, there is usually 'some' mild competition, admitted or not, where all the women have SOMEthing on their desks and such from their special ones, so its good not to let her down in that fashion if that's her work atmosphere.

Re:
I've decided I'm going back to basics. She loves daisies and she plants lots of different varieties of them in our yard each year. Last night when we were at Lowes she was drooling over the packs of flower bulbs and said out loud how she hoped Spring would get her soon so she could get flowers going again. We work in the same office so I'll get her a nice big bouquet of them and have them on her desk when she comes in tomorrow. There are 38 women in our office and only 6 men so she will be envied and I will be revered....hehehehehe.

Daisies are good. Roses are too cliched and easy. I personally believe that something of a more sentimental and from your imagination/creativity is worth so much more than anything storebought for the ocassion. That's what my experience tells me anyhow.
I hope you two have some fantastic quality time together tomorrow. And enjoy your reverance in the office tomorrow! =)

Re:
Daisies are her favorite flower so I just ordered a huge bouquet for her and I'll pick it up on the way into work tomorrow and put it on her desk before she gets in. That and a huge HUGE cut amethyst I just got for her.

A kiss would be nice and a kind word. Other than that, I don't need much.
